Support vulnerable adults as a Shelter Resource Worker at Lookout Housing and Health Society in a casual role. Provide essential services and connect guests to community resources.

Join Lookout in this vital position at the Walton Residence, located a short walk from Stadium-Chinatown Skytrain Station. The Shelter Resource Worker supports individuals facing homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges, providing essential intakes, orientation, and assistance. With shifts available throughout the week, flexibility is key for effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support to homeless adults in need
• Connect guests to community services for assistance
• Conduct intake interviews to assess needs




• Maintain accurate records and statistical data
• Support new staff and assist others in the shelter

Requirements:
• Related Certificate or Grade 12 education plus 2 years experience
• Familiarity with community resources and crisis intervention
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
• Robust communication skills and ability to manage stress
• Criminal Record Clearance required for vulnerable sector
