About the Role Our client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Intellectual Property Lawyer to join their fully remote legal team. This position requires a strong understanding of IP law to advise clients on the protection, registration, and commercialization of their intellectual assets, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights. You will be responsible for drafting IP-related agreements, managing IP portfolios, and handling infringement disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for an IP law specialist to work flexibly and contribute to a dynamic, client-focused practice from anywhere in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities Advise clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
Conduct IP searches and advise on registrability and potential conflicts.
Draft and negotiate IP licensing, assignment, and confidentiality agreements.
Manage the registration and maintenance of IP rights nationally and internationally.
Represent clients in IP infringement disputes and opposition proceedings.




Provide strategic advice on IP portfolio management and commercialization.
Requirements Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, with experience as a Patent Attorney being advantageous.
Minimum of 6 years of dedicated experience in Intellectual Property law.
Proficiency in drafting and negotiating IP-related contracts.
Strong understanding of IP registration processes and enforcement strategies.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide commercially astute advice.
