The Director of Marketing is a senior leadership position responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s marketing strategy, brand positioning, market presence, customer engagement, and promotional activities. The role drives business growth by increasing brand awareness, generating qualified leads, expanding market reach, and strengthening customer relationships across domestic and international markets.
The Director of Marketing leads the marketing team, manages corporate communications, oversees digital and traditional marketing initiatives, and collaborates with senior leadership to ensure marketing strategies align with organizational goals and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Marketing Leadership Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
Establish annual marketing plans, budgets, and performance targets.
Lead market positioning and brand development initiatives.
Identify emerging market opportunities and growth sectors.
Ensure marketing activities support organizational expansion and revenue goals.

Brand Management Maintain and strengthen the organization’s corporate identity and brand image.
Develop brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all communication channels.
Monitor brand perception and implement strategies to enhance reputation.
Lead corporate storytelling and brand awareness campaigns.

Digital Marketing and Customer Acquisition Oversee digital marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing.
Develop customer acquisition and retention strategies.
Optimize online presence and customer engagement platforms.




Manage website performance and digital campaign effectiveness.
Utilize marketing automation and CRM systems to improve customer experience.

Market Research and Intelligence Conduct market analysis, competitor assessments, and consumer behavior studies.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies.
Identify customer needs and market opportunities.
Provide strategic marketing insights to executive leadership.
Develop data-driven recommendations for growth initiatives.

Advertising and Promotional Campaigns Plan and oversee advertising campaigns across multiple platforms.
Manage media relations, public relations, and promotional activities.
Coordinate event marketing, exhibitions, conferences, and sponsorship programs.
Evaluate campaign performance and return on investment (ROI).
Ensure promotional activities align with organizational objectives.

Corporate Communications Direct internal and external communication strategies.
Oversee public relations initiatives and media engagement.
Manage crisis communication plans when required.
Develop corporate publications, newsletters, and communication materials.
Ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

Partnership Development Collaborate with strategic partners to expand brand visibility.
Support business development and partnership initiatives.
Build relationships with media organizations, industry associations, and stakeholders.
Identify co-branding and collaborative marketing opportunities.

Team Leadership and Management Lead, mentor, and develop marketing personnel.




Establish performance objectives and professional development plans.
Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and accountability.
Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively.
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with other departments.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) The Director of Marketing may be evaluated on:
Brand awareness growth
Lead generation performance
Customer acquisition rates
Digital engagement metrics
Marketing campaign ROI
Website traffic and conversion rates
Market share growth
Customer retention rates
Revenue generated from marketing initiatives
Media and public relations effectiveness

Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Master’s Degree (MBA or Marketing specialization) is considered an asset.

Experience Minimum 8–10 years of progressive marketing experience.
At least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role.
Experience in tourism, travel, hospitality, international business, conferences, or corporate services is highly desirable.
