Immerse yourself in academia as a Teaching Assistant for TOX*2000 Principles of Toxicology at the University of Guelph. This Fall 2026 position encompasses in-class teaching, grading, and lab safety.
The University of Guelph is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the TOX*2000 course. As a GTA, you'll engage with students, provide orientation training, and assist in grading while demonstrating your understanding of chemical toxicology. Successful candidates will receive an appointment of 70 hours, starting September 8, 2026, up to January 7, 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct orientation training and assist in lectures
• Prepare necessary materials for class sessions
• Facilitate meetings to enhance student learning
• Invigilate exams to uphold academic integrity
• Grading assignments and providing constructive feedback
Requirements:
• Enrolled in Chemistry or toxicology graduate program
• Completed BSc degree in chemistry or related field
• Teaching experience in chemistry laboratories
• Solid knowledge of chemical literature
• Certification in Lab Safety Training and related training
