Join Agnico Eagle as a Mine Accountant, supporting financial asset reporting within a respected Canadian mining firm. Contribute to compliance with IFRS and manage fixed asset lifecycles effectively.
In this key role, reporting to the Mine Controller, you'll be an integral part of the Finance Department. Your tasks will include ensuring the accurate reporting of fixed assets, managing capital expenditures, and complying with SOX controls. This position offers you the chance to contribute to Agnico Eagle's commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage monthly depreciation and perform analysis of changes
• Create and manage fixed assets within the FA module
• Prepare asset continuity schedules, reconciling with General Ledger
• Process AFEs and ensure accounting accuracy for capital transactions
• Track capital expenditures against budgets and report variations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in related field
• CPA designation or equivalent international qualification
• 3-5 years relevant financial experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP/JDE experience preferred
