Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Adult Transitional Housing Manager, the SHAWL Case Manager provides culturally protected, trauma-informed, wholistic support for adults transitioning from a live-in mental health and substance use health treatment centre into a live-in supportive, recovery-focused home. This role provides client-centered case management, psychoeducation groups, relapse-prevention support, life-skills planning, system navigation, and coordination of services within a residential environment. The Case Manager promotes a safe, stable, and recovery-focused home while empowering residents to achieve their personal goals that is consistent with the philosophy, policies, and standards established by Dilico Anishinabek Family Care.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A minimum requirement of an HBSW or related degree complimented by significant experience and demonstrated skill in related work will be considered. An MSW is preferred.
experience working with Anishinabek adults, families and communities;
a minimum three (3) years adult mental health and addictions counselling experience with clients;
Candidates without the specific education qualifications and where the position does not require certified qualification to practice, but who possess an appropriate combination of experience and other academic qualifications may be considered.

ability to work flexible hours as determined by the Addictions Services Manager in relation to service requirements;
must posses a Class "G" Driver's License and have access to a personal vehicle;
a valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certificate is recommended.
