With a career that blends flexibility, creativity, and impact, you’ll play a vital role in driving next-generation tech solutions for the moments that matter most. **Description**CAE is seeking an experienced **Instructional Systems Designer (ISD)** to support the **Canadian Future Fighter Lead-In Training (FFLIT) program**. The successful candidate will work within a team of training professionals responsible for the design and development of interactive eLearning solutions for Defense and Security clients. **Duties & Responsibilities:*** Apply the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) methodology throughout the training development lifecycle.* Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and analyze data, conduct cognitive task analyses, and define and categorize competencies.* Lead and coordinate the training development activities of CAE employees and subcontractors.* Assign work, organize priorities, and monitor team progress against project milestones.* Track project schedules and support adherence to delivery timelines.* Escalate schedule, scope, or resource issues as appropriate.* Provide project metrics, progress updates, and status reports to project leadership.* Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and management.* Review training materials and courseware to ensure compliance with established development standards.* Provide constructive feedback to team members to support quality and consistency.* Develop, maintain, and manage instructional design, writing,
and media standards.* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support training development objectives.* Participate in training analysis and instructional design activities as required. **Minimum Qualifications*** Undergraduate degree in Education, Adult Education, Instructional Design, or a related field with relevant professional experience.* Minimum 5 years of experience in instructional design, computer-based training development, or a related learning development discipline.* Experience collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to develop training solutions.* Experience managing project deliverables, schedules, and priorities.* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.* Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.* Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines.* Eligible to obtain and maintain: + Enhanced Reliability Clearance (EHC) + Secret Security Clearance + ITAR compliance + Controlled Goods Program (CGP) authorization **Preferred Qualifications*** Post-graduate certificate or degree in Education, Adult Education, Instructional Design, or a related discipline.* Bilingualism (English and French).* Experience leading or coordinating the work of a small team.* Knowledge of competency-based training frameworks.* Experience conducting cognitive task analyses.* Experience supporting Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) training programs.* Experience working within defense, aerospace, or complex corporate environments.* Business acumen and project coordination experience.**Benefits**We’ve designed flexible policies to promote well-being and growth, based on role-specific eligibility and requirements:* Flexible Group Benefits* Pension plan* Employee stock purchase plan* Comprehensive health and wellness programs* Supportive team and collaborative corporate culture
