This role actively supports Payments Canada’s strategic goals and operations by offering comprehensive legal advice and fostering continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on the Canadian Payments Act and associated regulations
• Provide legal support for corporate projects and inquiries
• Maintain solicitor-client privilege in all legal matters
• Collaborate and mentor colleagues in legal matters
• Implement practice management improvements
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.B. degree
• Minimum three years of corporate law experience
• Experience drafting and interpreting legislation
• Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships
• Ability to work from Toronto or Ottawa offices
