WAGE RATE: $37.071 - $38.157

Reporting to the Manager, Lions Head Site, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) works collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary team to provide patient care within Professional scope of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS Required:

Ontario College of Nurses registration and/or equivalent

Successful completion of Asepsis Course

Successful completion of Medication Course

Recent medical nursing experience

Complete unit specific certification

Leadership, problem-solving and decision making skills

Excellent organizational and patient assessment skills

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Commitment to continuing education and professional development

Participation in staff meetings and unit specific projects





Ability and willingness to ensure patient safety e.g. “following routine practices and practicing diligent hand washing, completing patient risk assessments, reporting adverse events”

Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records
