$32 - $45/ hour depending on experience and level of schoolingBenefits:• Comprehensive Health and Dental plan• RRSP Matching• Employee Referral Program• Career development Allowance• Employee preferred fuel pricing program• Career advancement opportunities• Employee Assistance Program• Employee discounts at participating vendors#applytodayJob DutiesCarry out field repairs and preventative maintenance on DFI’s on-road and off-road equipment at remote customer locations and DFI branch offices throughout Western CanadaTroubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systemsPerform repairs and preventative maintenance in the Edmonton shop when there are no field service callsSafely operate and maintain your assigned custom DFI 4x4 3-ton knuckle boom service truck and toolsWork overtime when required; field repairs may require multiple days away from homeComplete accurate work records and equipment documentation for all repairs and maintenance performedWork independently in the field and collaboratively with the shop team and ForemanTake an active role in DFI’s quality, health, safety and environmental programsQualificationsJourneyman Heavy Equipment Technician (Journeyman Off highway or experienced 3rd year apprentices will be considered)Experience with hydraulics preferredClass 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract (Q Endorsement is an asset)Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment alcohol and drug testSolid work ethic and a positive attitude; able to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision while also working well as part of a teamExcellent communication skills; respectful and positive interactions with customers are expectedMust be willing to travel, including overnight travel and camp situationsMust supply own basic hand and air tools
