**Job Title: Aircraft Component Technician**
**Job Description**
The Aircraft Component Technician performs inspection, repair, and overhaul tasks on aircraft components in an entry-level capacity.
This role supports the full lifecycle of component processing, including shipping and receiving, disassembly, cleaning, stripping of coatings, painting, and accurate documentation of all work performed.
The technician contributes directly to the safe and efficient maintenance of aircraft components by following technical documentation and established procedures.
**Responsibilities**
Receive and ship aircraft components as required, ensuring accurate handling and documentation.
Disassemble aircraft components in accordance with applicable technical documents and instructions.
Clean and strip coatings from components using approved methods and tools.
Identify and document damaged, worn, or non-conforming parts during inspection and disassembly.
Perform inspections or arrange for inspections in line with technical and regulatory requirements.
Paint components as required, following specified procedures and quality standards.
Document all work performed clearly and accurately in the appropriate records and systems.
Send components to the next station or process step in a timely and organized manner.
Perform additional related duties as required to support the maintenance and overhaul process.
Work safely at all times and follow all rules, regulations, and procedures affecting the work and workplace.
Collaborate with team members and follow directives precisely to maintain workflow and quality.
**Essential Skills**
Mechanical aptitude and strong interest in aircraft systems.
High level of manual dexterity for precise handling of tools and components.
Proficiency with hand tools in a mechanical or assembly environment.
Detail-oriented approach to component repair, inspection, and documentation.
Written and verbal communication skills in English.
Physical strength and endurance, including the ability to lift repeatedly.
Ability to work cooperatively with others and follow directives precisely.
Commitment to working safely and understanding workplace rules and regulations.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience with mechanical assembly or component repair is an asset.
Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes in a technical or industrial environment is beneficial.
Ability to interpret and follow technical documents and instructions.
Interest in developing a career in aircraft maintenance and component overhaul.

**Work Environment**

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winnipeg, MB.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
