Automotive Fixed Operations Support Specialist – SmartVMA
Use Your Dealership Experience Without the Dealership Grind
Do you know dealership Service Operations inside and out?

Are you an experienced Service Advisor or Service Manager who understands Fixed Operations, enjoys working with people, and is ready for a change from the long hours and weekend demands of dealership life?

This could be the opportunity you're looking for.

We are looking for an experienced automotive dealership Fixed Operations professional to join our team as an Automotive Fixed Operations Support Specialist.

In this role, you will work alongside our Sales Representatives at automotive dealerships to introduce, demonstrate, train and support customers using SmartVMA. You will use the knowledge you've gained working inside a dealership to help other Service Departments understand and successfully use the program.

This is not a traditional sales role. Our Sales Representatives lead the business development and sales relationship. Your role is to be the Fixed Operations expert and customer-facing trainer who can speak the language of the dealership, demonstrate the program, teach users and provide ongoing support.

What You’ll Do

Attend automotive dealerships with Sales Representatives and support customer meetings.

Present and demonstrate SmartVMA to dealership personnel.

Train and teach Service Department personnel on how to use the program effectively.

Explain processes and concepts clearly to Service Advisors, Service Managers and dealership management.

Provide ongoing customer support and follow-up after implementation.

Build robust working relationships with dealership Service Departments and Fixed Operations teams.

Understand customer needs and help determine how SmartVMA can best support their Service Department.

Troubleshoot questions and help customers resolve issues.

Work with the Sales Representative to ensure customers receive a high level of support throughout the relationship.

Travel to automotive dealerships throughout Canada and occasionally the United States.

What We’re Looking For
MUST HAVE

Current or previous experience working in an automotive dealership Fixed Operations environment.

Service Advisor or Service Manager experience is required.

Strong understanding of dealership Service Department operations and processes.

Comfortable working directly with dealership personnel and management.

Strong, clear verbal communication skills in English.

Confident presenting, demonstrating and training in front of individuals or groups.

Comfortable learning and working with technology-based programs.

Technically comfortable and able to learn software, troubleshoot questions and explain solutions to others.

Professional and presentable when representing the company at customer dealerships.

Organized, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.

NICE TO HAVE

Experience training or coaching dealership personnel.

Experience with dealership management systems or other automotive software.

Strong understanding of Service Department metrics, processes and profitability.

Previous sales, business development or customer-facing experience.

Experience presenting to dealership management or groups.

Why Make the Move?
If you've worked in dealership Service Operations, you already know the demands of the job — long days, customer pressure, busy Service Departments and working weekends.

This role gives you the opportunity to take the knowledge you've built inside the dealership and use it to help other dealerships succeed, without being tied to the daily grind of running a Service Department.

You’ll work with a team, meet dealerships across Canada, train and support customers, and become a trusted Fixed Operations resource.

If you are a Service Advisor or Service Manager who knows dealership operations, is comfortable with technology, enjoys teaching others and is ready for a change, we’d like to hear from you.

Travel
Travel can be up to 50% of the time, typically during the first and third weeks of each month.

Travel will primarily be throughout Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, with occasional travel to the United States, including our Washington distributorship and/or conferences.

Travel arrangements and reimbursement will vary depending on location and logistics and may include mileage reimbursement and/or a monthly vehicle allowance.

Position Details
Location: Richmond, British Columbia
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: Operations / Customer Support
Compensation: $65,000–$70,000 base salary, plus mileage reimbursement and monthly vehicle allowance
