Join Lookout Housing and Health Society as a Shelter Resource Worker, providing vital support to homeless individuals in a 24/7 emergency shelter setting. This full-time role focuses on assisting guests with complex needs, including addictions and mental health.

As a Shelter Resource Worker, you will report directly to the Site Manager and follow Lookout's mission to support individuals facing housing challenges. Your role will involve intakes, orientations, and referrals to external agencies tailored to guests’ needs. You are expected to maintain safety standards while creating a supportive environment for all shelter residents.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide supervision and support to homeless adults
• Facilitate referrals to community services




• Conduct intakes and provide basic necessities
• Maintain records and statistical data
• Assist new staff and foster a secure setting

Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 or related certificate
• 2 years of related experience preferred
• Current Occupational First Aid Level 1
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Criminal Record Clearance - Vulnerable Sector
