As an Occupational Therapy Aide, your primary responsibilities involve assessing residents, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic activities. You will actively engage with residents, ensuring they participate in programs that enhance their self-care and leisure activities. Collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team is essential to promoting optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess resident needs upon admission and continuously
• Assist in developing and communicating treatment care plans
• Implement identified therapeutic programs for residents
• Document relevant information for therapy and care conferences
• Recognize and adapt interventions based on health continuum
Requirements:
• Degree in Occupational Therapy or Rehabilitation Therapist Diploma
• Good standing with provincial regulatory board
• Experience in continuing care or gerontology preferred
• Solid communication and organizational skills
• Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check
