**Job Description**
This role focuses on interior glass installation and glazing for a variety of commercial and retail projects across the Greater Toronto Area.

You will install glass doors, partitions, railings, back-painted glass, and other interior glass features while leading a small team on-site.

The position requires strong hands-on construction skills, the ability to interpret site needs, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
**Responsibilities**
Install interior glass doors, glass partitions, railings, back-painted glass, and other interior glass systems in commercial and retail environments.

Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently to cut, fit, secure, and finish glass and related components.

Lead a team of glaziers or installers on various job sites across the GTA, providing direction, support, and oversight to ensure projects run smoothly.

Plan and run jobs from start to finish, including organizing tools and materials, coordinating tasks, and ensuring work meets project specifications and quality standards.

Work on showers, walls, doors, and various other glass installations, including hanging doors and completing detailed finishing work.

Travel to multiple job sites, primarily in downtown and surrounding areas, and arrive on time ready to work each day.

Adapt to different commercial and retail environments, working efficiently in occupied or active spaces while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Follow all safety procedures and site regulations, including working at heights when required and after appropriate training.

Collaborate with other employees on-site, either meeting directly at job sites or carpooling with colleagues as needed.

Work flexible hours, including occasional extended days and weekends, to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
**Essential Skills**
3+ years of glazing or interior glass installation experience, or a strong finish carpentry background with relevant transferable skills.

Proficiency in installing interior glass systems such as doors, partitions, railings, and back-painted glass.

Hands-on experience using a variety of hand and power tools in a construction or installation setting.

Ability to work on showers, walls, doors, and various other glass projects, including hanging doors and completing fine finishing work.

Demonstrated experience leading a team and running jobs on-site, including organizing tasks and overseeing quality.
background working on commercial, retail, or similar projects rather than manufacturing environments.

Comfort working at heights or willingness to perform tasks at height after appropriate training.

Robust reliability and punctuality, with the ability to report to various job sites on time across the GTA.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship and safety.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Prior experience specifically in interior glazing for commercial or retail spaces.

Working at Heights training or certification (candidates can receive training after demonstrating strong performance and long-term fit).

Experience coordinating logistics for multiple job sites within a large urban area.





Exposure to a variety of glass types and installation methods across different project types.

Strong communication skills to effectively lead and coordinate with team members and site personnel.

**Work Environment**
Work takes place at multiple job sites across the Greater Toronto Area, primarily in downtown and other commercial locations.

Assignments focus on interior, indoor work at commercial spots, avoiding manufacturing settings.

The company aims to assign projects that are closer to each employees home when possible.

Team members either meet directly at the job site or travel with another employee, with a central headquarters located in North York for coordination.

Typical workdays start around 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. and run until approximately 4:30 p.m., with the possibility of longer days and occasional weekend work depending on project needs.

The role follows a day-shift schedule, beginning with 23 days per week and the potential to transition to full-time quickly as workload increases.

You will regularly use a variety of hand and power tools on active commercial sites, so punctuality, reliability, and adherence to site safety requirements are essential.

Dress is consistent with a professional construction environment, including appropriate workwear and safety gear suitable for interior commercial job sites.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Toronto, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
