Paralegal and Governance Coordinator
Our client is seeking a Paralegal and Governance Coordinator to provide legal, governance, and administrative support within a private family office environment. Working closely with senior legal and family office leadership, this role supports family governance, ownership matters, corporate records, and day-to-day administrative needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong paralegal experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the discretion and judgment required when handling highly confidential information.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Provide administrative and coordination support for family office activities and service requests
- Coordinate governance meetings, including scheduling, materials, minutes, and follow-up
- Support shareholder, ownership, estate, and succession-related matters under the direction of legal leadership
- Draft routine legal and governance documents, including resolutions and meeting minutes
- Maintain corporate minute books, statutory records, and legal documentation
- Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors on approved family administration matters
- Ensure governance records and documentation remain accurate, organized, and current
- Handle sensitive family, ownership, and legal information with a high degree of confidentiality
Your strengths include:
- 5+ years of experience in a paralegal, legal support, governance, or family office environment
- Paralegal diploma or certificate,
or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written communication, drafting, and proofreading abilities
- Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and standard business applications
- Familiarity with AI-enabled tools considered an asset
- Ability to work full-time, in-office in Edmonton
