Key Responsibilities

- Conduct in-person and virtual consultations with homeowners and businesses.
- Identify customer energy needs and determine solar opportunities.
- Educate customers on solar systems, energy savings, financing, incentives, and long-term benefits.
- Present customized solar proposals and explain system designs and expected perks.
- Manage leads, follow-ups, appointments, and opportunities through the CRM.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and objections professionally.
- Meet and exceed individual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales information in the CRM.
- Work closely with design, operations, purchasing, and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer transition from sale to installation.
- Stay current on Canadian solar incentives, provincial programs, net metering, financing options, and industry developments.

Requirements

- Proven experience in sales, consultative selling, business development, or customer-facing roles.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to explain technical and financial information in a simple, customer-friendly manner.
- Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Comfortable using CRM and sales/proposal software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local customer appointments is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in solar, renewable energy, home improvement, construction, HVAC, roofing, or other high-value products/services.
- Knowledge of Canadian solar incentives, net metering, financing, and provincial programs.
- Experience with Close CRM, SolarGraf, Aurora Solar,



or similar platforms.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Existing relationships within the local residential or commercial market are an advantage.
