Position Summary
The General Helper supports daily facility operations in a busy office environment with multiple kitchens, washrooms, common areas, and conference/event spaces. This role helps maintain cleanliness, organization, safety, and overall workplace readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize kitchens, washrooms, counters, appliances, and high-touch surfaces

Load and unload dishwashers, rinse/wash dishes and replenish supplies

Spot mop floors and respond to spills or cleaning requests

Set up and maintain conference rooms and event spaces





Organize storage areas and assist with deliveries and moving supplies

Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns

Replace light bulbs and safely use ladders for minor facility tasks

Assist with vendor escorts and on-demand operational requests

Update, log, and record activities related to service requests and completed tasks

Support general facilities operations and perform other related duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Frequent lifting, able to lift 30-50lbs, carrying, bending, reaching, and repetitive movement

Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-traffic areas

Ability to safely use ladders and handle physical cleaning tasks

Qualifications

Previous janitorial, facilities, hospitality, or general labour experience preferred

Reliable, organized, and able to work independently

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Positive communication and teamwork skills
