Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000 annually
Pension: $4.00/hr 100% paid by Arrow
Schedule: Scheduled Home time – 5 On 2 Off

Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and Regulations
Perform pre and post anden route trip inspections on equipmentoperated, ensuring safety,roadworthinessand regulatory compliance
Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, load securement, driver''s hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions
Comply with all rules and regulations, protocols and established metrics
Efficiently maneuver truck and trailer(s) into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned
May operate loading equipment as per role requirements
Check mobile equipment (i.e. frontend loaders) to ensure that mechanical and safety equipment is in positive working order
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to the relevant supervisor
Report all safety hazards or conditions encountered at load, unload, yard and shop sites
Record, Maintain and Check all relevant paperwork (i.e. bill of lading,) and documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate
Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers
Complete electronic and/or manual logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations
Communicate effectively and courteously with the public, customers, and co-workers
Assist in loading and unloading of trucks
Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure
Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements.
Tarping loads may be a requirement
Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up
Provide feedback to supervisor/dispatch regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems
Ensure that all customers, co-workers and the public are dealt with professionally and with respect
Train others when required
Class 1 truck driver's licenseB train experience is required
Previous winter and mountain driving experience required
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, in order to safely perform job duties

Demonstrates strong communication skills both verbally and written Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment Computer literate Basic understanding of vehicle and trailer maintenance requirements Organizational abilities including task prioritization and adherence to timelines Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
