Join the team at QEII Ambulatory Care Centre as a Therapy Assistant. This position involves closely working with professionals from various disciplines, including physiotherapists and occupational therapists, to deliver effective patient care. You'll provide direct and indirect support across all ages, emphasizing patient-centered and ethical care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in rehabilitation services for patients transitioning to various care levels
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team for effective patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement and program planning initiatives
• Supervise students and encourage their development
• Engage in lifelong learning and reflective practice
Requirements:
• Diploma from a recognized Therapy Assistant program
• PTA/OTA diploma is mandatory
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic charting
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
