We create character-rich furniture and objects with a focus on material, form, function, and craftsmanship. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong design eye, understands how furniture is built, and can create pieces that feel intentional, practical, and beautifully resolved.
What we're looking for We're looking for someone who has:
Excellent attention to detail
A refined sense of proportion, form, and material
Ability to design custom pieces for specific spaces, needs, or concepts
Understanding of wood, joinery, construction methods, and finishing
Comfort working with reclaimed lumber, salvaged wood, or irregular materials
Ability to translate ideas into sketches, drawings, renderings, or build-ready concepts
A cooperative approach when working with makers, carpenters, and clients
Comfort working on a project-by-project basis
Project location Projects are based in Saskatoon, Canada. Applicants should be based in Saskatoon or able to work on projects there as needed.
Type of work Projects may include custom furniture, tables, seating, shelving, built-ins, wood objects, display pieces, or one-of-a-kind commissions. Scope, timeline, deliverables, and compensation will be discussed per project.
We're especially interested in seeing examples that show your design process, finished pieces, material sensitivity, and ability to create furniture that is both beautiful and functional.
