Role: Accounts Receivable Accounting Clerk
Reports to: Financial Planning and Analysis, Manager
Location: Toronto, Ontario – Hybrid
Description: As a member of the Accounts Receivable accounting team, the AccountsReceivable Accounting Clerk is responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable duties including but are not limited to; ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenueby verifying and posting receipts.
Job Duties: Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data
Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivablestatus
Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accountsusing manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books,and maintain general ledgers
Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports as required
Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes: Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (Net Suites Oracle)
Proficiency in English and in MS Office
Intermediate level proficiency in MS Excel
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
Education and Experience Required: Successful completion of post-secondary education preferably inbookkeeping, accounting or related field or Completion of two years (firstlevel) of a recognized professional accounting program (ex. CharteredAccounting, Certified General Accounting) or equivalent working experience
1-2 years administrative office/customer service experience is required
Previous accounts receivable and/or accounting experience is preferred
Compensation and Benefits: Compensation: $50,000 per annum
