Support clients in holistic rehabilitation as a Recreation Therapy Associate at Eastern Zone, Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Engage in therapeutic recreation programs to enhance client leisure needs and overall care.

This full-time, temporary position reports to the Manager of Rehabilitation Services. You will work closely with clients experiencing physical and cognitive disabilities. Your role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective recreation interventions and ensure adherence to practice standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement recreation programs for groups and individuals
• Assist in planning and evaluating therapeutic interventions




• Work effectively with healthcare team members
• Communicate with clients to motivate and support them
• Maintain documentation using medical terminology

Requirements:
• Post-secondary diploma in Therapeutic Recreation
• BLS certification and Class 4 license
• Experience with individuals with disabilities
• Solid listening and communication skills
• Flexibility in adapting to patient needs
