Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Patient Care Services, the Patient Transfer Attendant is responsible for providing secure, timely and customer focused services to stable and non-urgent care patients via stretcher/wheelchair needing to get to and from appointments in a variety of situations including Hospital to Hospital transfers, outpatient clinics, discharge transportation home and more.

Qualifications

Grade 12 OSSD or equivalent diploma

Valid CPR and First Aid (Level C)





A clean driver’s abstract must be submitted upon hire and annually. The driver must be willing to provide proof of having current private insurance for their personal vehicle, as well as stating they are the primary driver

Letter of experience from previous employment confirming related experience. If this cannot be provided, a copy of Auto Plus report must be provided - https://iis.cgi.com/rapidweb/en/support/consumer-reports.aspx

A minimum of three years driving experience in Northern Ontario.

The ability to provide effective services to clients/residents

Bilingualism will be considered an asset.
