The Equipment Operator II position within the Resort Operations department requires individuals with a background in heavy machinery and snow clearing. Reporting to the Landscape Services Supervisor, this role offers 76.5 hours bi-weekly from November 18, 2026, until March 31, 2027. Candidates will need to demonstrate mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving skills in a diverse and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and service snow clearing equipment like compact loaders
• Maintain and repair machines to ensure efficient operation
• Ensure secure pedestrian access along sidewalks and the Valley Trail
• Conduct regular machine maintenance as needed
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma required
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Valid BC class 5 driver’s license mandatory
• Knowledge of snow clearing methods and techniques
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor
