Become an integral part of Ontario's health system as an On-Call Ambulance Communications Officer. Coordinate emergency ambulance responses using your critical thinking and communication skills.

This temporary role at the Lindsay Central Ambulance Communications Centre requires you to process 9-1-1 requests and provide dispatch services. You'll be responsible for assessing emergency situations and directing resources effectively. This position is fundamental to initiating patient care as the first contact in emergency care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Process 9-1-1 emergency calls using a CAD system
• Provide timely dispatch services to emergency health services
• Communicate calmly with individuals in stressful situations
• Apply critical thinking to assess immediate emergencies




• Direct ambulance operations in coordination with partners

Requirements:
• Typing proficiency of 35 w.p.m. at 90% accuracy
• Successful completion of CritiCall pre-employment testing
• Obtain Criminal Record Check for security clearance
• Complete Entry-to-Practice training and provide certifications
• Execute CPR and radio operator certification within 30 days
