MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Read and interpret drawings,blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements
Cut openings for pipe inwalls, floors, and ceilings using hand or power tools or machine
Select type and size of piperequired
Measure, cut, thread, andbend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
Weld, braze, cement, solder,and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
Fusing of HDPE pipe andbonding when working with PVC and CPVC plastic pipe
Install supports, valves,piping, and control systems
Test system for leaks usingtesting equipment
Clean and maintain pipe unitsand fittings and flush system
Remove and replace worn componentsand reactivate system
Involved in working with powertools and heavy equipment
REQUIRED SKILLS
High degree of attentionrequired to prevent injury to self and others
Perform heavy maintenancework involving climbing, rigging, and exposure to high pressure hydraulicand pneumatic systems in accordance with all company safety procedures
Ability to read andinterpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routinereports and correspondence
Demonstrate practicalproblem solving ability.
Interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Valid Red Seal or Journeyman Certificate (Trade credential must be recognized in Alberta)
