We’re lookingfor an experienced Financial Systems Analyst to maintain, evaluate, and improve Work SafeBC’s financial systems and our business operations and processes.
We want tohear from you, if you can provide operational and technical business support tothe users of our financial systems! In this role, you’ll support financialsystems business configurations; diagnose the cause of system or securityissues; and develop automations, reports, and tools.
You’ll find technicalsolutions for business users’ needs, providing individualized customer service whileworking collaboratively with a close-knit team.

What you'll do
- Respond to calls from users, troubleshootissues, and find solutions
- Identify current processes and solutions, includingautomations
- Maintain and improve existing financial systems
- Identify, define, and create new businessreports while maintaining existing reports
- Help identify and plan for the impact ofupcoming changes on business software
- Consistently models the appropriate level oforganizational behaviours expected of all Work SafeBC employees: responsive,respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.
Is this a good fit for you?
We’re looking for people whocan:
- Understand and analyze the functions of afinancial system and perform configuration
- Perform investigative and informational queriesusing Structured Query Language (SQL) tools
- Provide support in the areas of general ledger(GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), purchasing, budgeting,payroll, and general accounting principles
- Give technical explanations verbally and inwriting
Your background and experience
- A degreeor diploma in a related discipline, such as financial or computer systemstechnology
- A minimumof three years of experience providing operational business support to theusers of a finance-based business software system (e.g., enterprise-basedfinancial software packages that include GL, AP, AR, purchasing, budgeting, orpayroll accounting)
- An understanding of the debits and creditsbehind financial transactions in software terms
We’ll consider equivalent combinations of education andexperience.
