Job Summary

We are a local waste management company specializing in roll-off bin rentals, deliveries, pickups, and waste disposal.

We operate a fleet of trucks and hook lift bins, serving residential, commercial, construction, and other customers throughout the area.

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Dispatch & Logistics Manager to coordinate our day-to-day operations.

This is an important role within our company. You will be the central point of communication between our customers, drivers, trucks, bins, and disposal facilities, making sure everything runs as efficiently as possible.

No two days are exactly the same.

You may start the morning coordinating trucks and their routes, while also answering customer calls, booking new bin deliveries, arranging pickups, scheduling town runs, and dealing with unexpected changes throughout the day.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, is excellent at multitasking, and can remain calm and organized when plans change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Bookings

- Answer incoming phone calls Monday–Friday
- Speak with multiple customers throughout the day
- Take new bin rental orders and accurately record customer information
- Schedule bin deliveries, pickups, exchanges, and removals
- Confirm customer requirements and delivery details
- Communicate delivery and pickup times with customers
- Respond to customer questions and resolve scheduling issues
- Provide professional and friendly customer service

Dispatch & Driver Coordination

- Dispatch and coordinate trucks and drivers
- Prepare daily driver schedules and assignments
- Communicate with drivers throughout the day
- Provide drivers with delivery, pickup, exchange, and disposal instructions
- Monitor the day’s schedule and make adjustments as required
- Reassign jobs when trucks become available
- Deal with last-minute bookings, cancellations, delays, and changes




- Keep drivers informed of schedule changes and priorities

Truck & Route Management

- Schedule daily truck deliveries and pickups
- Organize efficient routes for multiple trucks
- Schedule trucks for town runs and disposal trips
- Coordinate disposal runs based on the day’s workload
- Prioritize jobs to make the best use of available trucks and drivers
- Minimize unnecessary travel and downtime

Daily Operations

- Maintain an accurate daily dispatch board/schedule
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts before they become problems
- Prioritize urgent and time-sensitive jobs
- Coordinate with management regarding operational issues
- Keep accurate records of completed deliveries, pickups, and exchanges
- Prepare upcoming schedules and ensure the next day’s work is organized

- Route planning

Waste or trucking experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

You should be comfortable having the phone ringing while you’re coordinating a driver, booking a new bin, checking which bins are available, and figuring out how to fit an unexpected pickup into the day’s schedule.

You don’t need to know everything on day one. However, you do need to be someone who can think ahead, stay calm, and figure things out.

Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
