About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting a Service Supervisor / Advisor for one of our valued clients in Eastern Passage, NS.

This position is ideal for someone with a robust automotive service background who enjoys leading a team while providing excellent customer service. As the Service Supervisor / Advisor, you will oversee daily service operations, coordinate technicians, manage repair orders, and ensure customers receive a high level of service throughout the repair process.

If you have experience as a Service Advisor, Shop Foreman, Shop Supervisor, Service Supervisor, or in a similar automotive service leadership role, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the service department.
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor workloads for technicians and service personnel.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding service appointments and repair inquiries.
- Create and manage repair orders using OEM or dealership software.
- Explain repair recommendations, maintenance requirements, timelines, and costs to customers.
- Prepare service estimates and obtain customer approvals.
- Communicate customer concerns and repair requirements to technicians.
- Monitor repair progress and provide regular updates to customers.
- Coordinate parts, labor, tools, and scheduling to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate service records, repair documentation, and operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Coach, support, and provide guidance to technicians and service staff.




- Investigate and document operational issues or safety concerns.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall service performance.

Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Service Advisor, Service Supervisor, Shop Foreman, Shop Supervisor, or similar automotive service role.
- Automotive service or mechanical knowledge is required.
- Previous experience supervising or coordinating technicians is preferred.
- Experience working with OEM or dealership computer software is an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based service management systems.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Pay: $24.00 per hour
