Make a difference in the lives of marginalized individuals at Good Shepherd as a Supportive Housing Specialist. This temporary full-time role offers a chance to support cis women, trans, and non-binary individuals.

At Good Shepherd’s Dorothy Day Place, you will provide low-barrier permanent supportive housing while working within a trauma-informed, anti-racist framework. Your commitment to cultural safety and harm reduction is essential. This position includes tasks such as cleaning, packing, and assisting clients with life skills, all aimed at fostering dignity and self-determination.

Key Responsibilities:

- Partner with participants to create individualized care plans
- Provide supportive counseling and education on mental health




- Assist clients in developing safety plans and community integration
- Participate in care planning meetings and accompany clients
- Maintain a welcoming and dignified environment

Requirements:

- Minimum 1-year experience in social services
- Familiarity with anti-oppression and harm reduction principles
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
- Valid Ontario Driver's License (G) is an asset
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
