Front Desk Receptionist — Dog Daycare & Grooming Salon Please read before applying: This is not a typical office receptionist role. You will be hands-on with dogs every single day — greeting them at drop-off, handling them at pick-up, and working steps away from barking, jumping, happy dogs all day long. If you're not genuinely comfortable around dogs of all sizes and energy levels, this isn't the role for you. The role: Maison de Paw is a boutique dog daycare and grooming salon in downtown Toronto. As our receptionist, you're the face of the business — the first hello for every client and every dog. What you'll do: - Welcome clients and their dogs at drop-off and pick-up, including leashing, handling, and settling dogs - Manage daycare and grooming bookings; maintain client and pet profiles, vaccination records, and service info - Answer phone, email, and in-person inquiries; explain services, packages,



and policies - Process payments and assist with retail purchases - Coordinate with daycare attendants and groomers on client requests - Give clients updates on their dogs; handle concerns professionally - Keep the reception and retail area clean, organized, and welcoming - Support opening and closing procedures What you bring (required): - Genuinely comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments — this is non-negotiable - Previous hands-on animal experience (dog daycare, vet clinic, shelter, grooming, dog walking, or similar) strongly preferred - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Friendly, professional communication with clients - Able to multitask in a rapid-paced, noisy, joyful environment - Reliable and punctual Details: - $18–$22/hr based on experience - 16–40 hrs/week, flexible schedule (full-time or part-time) - Location: 438 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto (in person) - Start date: to be confirmed (salon opening late October) - Benefits: casual dress

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
