Location: Alberta – Multiple Locations

Position Details

Augury Healthcare is currently recruiting experienced Registered Nurses for Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical travel assignments throughout Alberta.

These opportunities are ideal for experienced acute care nurses interested in competitive compensation, travel opportunities, and the chance to work in a variety of hospital and regional healthcare environments.

- Medical-Surgical units

Assignments vary in duration and location based on current healthcare needs.

Compensation & Assignment Support

Successful candidates can expect:

- $70.00–$85.00 per hour

Final compensation is based on experience, specialty, assignment requirements, location, and applicable contract terms.

Emergency Department RN Opportunities

Emergency Department candidates should have strong recent emergency nursing experience and be comfortable working in fast-paced acute care environments.

Depending on the assignment, requirements may include:

- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS
- Current CTAS
- TNCC, PALS, ENPC or other emergency certifications where required




- Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
- Experience caring for medically complex and unstable patients
- Ability to work independently in rural or regional environments

Medical-Surgical RN Opportunities

Medical-Surgical candidates should have strong recent acute care experience and be comfortable managing a varied patient population.

Typical requirements include:

- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical / Acute Care experience
- Current BLS
- Strong patient assessment and medication administration skills
- Experience managing complex medical and surgical patients
- Experience with IV therapy, wound care, admissions, transfers and discharges
- Ability to manage multiple patients and changing clinical priorities

Additional certifications may be required depending on the individual assignment.

Nursing Registration

Candidates must have:

- Current registration and good standing as a Registered Nurse in Canada
- Eligibility to practise as a Registered Nurse in Alberta before the assignment begins

Nurses currently located outside Alberta are encouraged to apply if they are eligible and willing to obtain the required Alberta registration.

Key Responsibilities

As a Travel RN, responsibilities may include:

- Completing comprehensive patient assessments
- Monitoring and responding to changes in patient condition
- Administering medications and treatments
- Providing evidence-based nursing care
- Managing acute and complex patient conditions
- Supporting emergency procedures when applicable
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Providing patient and family education
- Participating in admissions, transfers and discharges
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals and other members of the healthcare team
- Following infection prevention, medication safety and patient safety standards
- Adapting quickly to new healthcare environments, workflows and clinical teams

- Experienced in Emergency or Medical-Surgical nursing
- Clinically confident and adaptable

- Willing to travel within Alberta

- Strong communicators and collaborative team members
- Comfortable working with increased autonomy in rural or regional environments
