Maintenance Technician
Location: Toronto, ON
Pay: $28–$36/hour, based on experience and qualifications
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Morning Shift
Work Location: On-site
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
- Repair and maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, mixers, packaging machines, and other production equipment.
- Inspect equipment, replace worn parts, lubricate machinery, and make adjustments as needed.
- Assist with equipment installation, setup, and changeovers.
- Read and follow electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and help reduce production downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records and work orders.
- Follow GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout, and workplace safety procedures.
- Work with the production team to identify and resolve equipment problems.
Requirements
- 2+ years of maintenance experience,
preferably in food manufacturing, production, or packaging.
- Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with motors, pumps, conveyors, sensors, and production equipment.
- Able to read basic schematics, drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Experience with PLC, HMI, or VFD systems is an asset.
- 433A Millwright or 442A Industrial Electrician certification is an asset.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: $28.00-$36.00 per hour
