Responsibilities

- Measure, cut, and sew fabric to create custom drapery panels, valances, and curtains according to specifications.
- Alter and adjust existing window treatment pieces to ensure perfect fit and finish.
- Operate industrial sewing machines with precision, maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Inspect finished products for quality control, ensuring seams are secure and hems are even.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to interpret customer requests accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to manufacturing safety protocols.
- Assist in fabric selection and preparation for upcoming projects as needed.

Skills





- Proven experience as a Drapery Seamstress or in a similar sewing role within manufacturing or upholstery settings.
- Strong knowledge of sewing techniques, fabric types, and finishing methods specific to window treatments.
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines efficiently and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
- Experience working in warehouse or manufacturing environments with an emphasis on quality control.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision craftsmanship.
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, and handling heavy fabrics or materials over extended periods.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and understanding project specifications.
