Job Title: Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor

Mirus International Inc. is seeking an Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor at 31 Sun Pac Boulevard, Brampton, Ontario, L6S 5P6. The successful candidate must have experience working in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

1. Actively monitor the production floor throughout the day to ensure personnel are engaged, following instructions, and meeting production expectations.

2. Work closely with the Operations team to optimize production schedules, workflows, and LeanEra execution.

3. Take ownership of expediting critical shortage items, using LeanEra data and supplier relationships (via purchasing dept) to maintain uninterrupted production.

4. Provide technical feedback on variances (planned vs. actual hours), supporting accurate reporting and planning.

5. Reinforce accountability to work instructions, attendance policies, safety protocols, and productivity targets.

6. Deliver daily directions and feedback to team members.

7. Help ensure that all team members are working within defined processes and that variances are flagged and escalated appropriately.

8. Communicate regularly with the Production Planner, Quality Manager, and Production Supervisor to resolve issues affecting throughput or quality.

9. Assist with cycle counts, material organization, and resolving inventory discrepancies.

10. Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of 5S, Lean, and other continuous improvement activities on the floor.

11. Coordinate cross-training plans and skill coverage to minimize downtime due to absenteeism or skill gaps.

Assist with onboarding new production employees and reinforcing expectations.

13. Monitor and report daily production activities, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities to the Operations Manager.

14. Support ERP system utilization by ensuring scanning and data entry is completed accurately and in real time.

15. Collaborate with Health & Safety to ensure team compliance with ESA and workplace safety standards.

16. Promote and model protected work practices while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and ISO 9001:2015 standards.

17. Promote a respectful and productive work workplace through consistent presence, structure, and fair reinforcement of rules.

18. Other duties as assigned by your manager.

Education / Experience Required:

· College Graduate in business administration, management, industrial technology, or industrial engineering field or equivalent working experience.

- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Skill Requirements

1. Ability to work and motivate production personnel to optimize their output at all times.

2. Experience in working with MRP operating system environment as it relates to production scheduling and planning.

3. Good computer skills, with the ability to work with Outlook, Microsoft Office and typical ERP/MRP type software.

- Understanding of the use of statistical tools, such as Statistical Process Control, Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Manufacturing techniques, including Corrective Actions in a team-based environment.
- ESA Supervisor due diligence training.
