Al-Shifa Health centre is recruiting Family Physicians for a Primary Care and walk In Clinic in East York, Ontario.

Physicians will have immediate access to an existing patient panel, including more than 100 unattached patients seeking a family physician. Strong community demand provides an excellent opportunity to establish and grow your roster quickly. Flexible scheduling options support work-life balance. The clinic is situated in a very diverse neighbourhood with a demand for women's health counseling and preventative care. Hindi, Urdu and Pashto speaking physician will be an asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Primary Care Services: Provide comprehensive primary care to patients ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Examinations: Conduct initial and annual physical examinations, as well as do health reviews for preventive medicine and integrative health.
- Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team with family physicians .
- Patient Communication:



Utilize EMR for all patient encounters and follow up using asymmetric secure patient communication via EMR to ensure compliance, follow-up, and patient satisfaction.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and support provided by the clinical team. Develop professional skills in lifestyle medicine, including nutrition, stress management, sleep, and counseling , post and peri Menopausal counselling, and counselling for harmful substance use such as smoking cessation and alcohol reduction.

Qualifications

- CPSO independent practice license.
- Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) preferred
- Medical degree and valid license to practice in Ontario
- Experience in primary care, with a strong interest in preventive medicine and integrative health
- Familiarity with Avaros EMR is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Pay: $150.00-$180.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
