At Corydon Autobody, we take pride in delivering top-tier collision repair and restoring vehicles to OEM standards safely and efficiently. We operate a well-equipped shop with a steady workflow. We are looking for an experienced lead autobody collision repair technician to guide our repair team and deliver craftsmanship our customers can rely on.
Key Responsibilities
Structural & Body Repair: Perform minor to major collision repairs, including frame/unibody straightening, panel replacement, and sheet metal alignment.
Teardown & Blueprinting: Review repair estimates, perform complete vehicle teardowns, and identify supplement needs early in the repair process.
Teamwork & Collaboration: Work closely with estimators, painters, parts managers, and shop leadership to maintain clear communication, support colleagues during heavy production, and foster a positive team environment.
Quality Control & Leadership: Mentor junior technicians, conduct final inspections on repaired vehicles, and ensure high quality standards across the shop floor.
Welding & Fabrication: Execute clean welds (MIG/ Resistance Spot Weld) and plastic repairs following manufacturer guidelines.
Shop Safety: Maintain a safe,
organized working environment and adhere to all shop safety protocols and WHS standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: [3–5+] years of experience as a skilled autobody repair technician in a production collision center.
Certifications: I-CAR certification (Platinum preferred), Red seal journeyman credentials.
Skills: Proficient with electronic 3 dimensional frame measuring systems, frame racks, modern welding and diagnostic tools.
Tools: Must own a full set of professional autobody repair tools.
License: Valid driver’s license.
