Position Title: Production Technician
Position Summary
The position is for an electronics firm who develop and program a variety of electronic control modules and touchscreen products for the RV, Marine and Specialty vehicle markets. The Production Technician will perform NPI and other assemblies, troubleshooting, and keeping equipment uptime and safety standards on track, while also serving as the technical lead for our more junior staff.
Core Responsibilities
· Component Assembly: Complete technical electronic assemblies, associated documentation and build videos.
· Troubleshooting: Perform hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and operating systems on complex failures.
· Process Optimization: Identify workflow inefficiencies and provides recommendations to enhance productivity.
· NPI Production: Complete all NPI builds ensuring accuracy, parts used, and labor hours. Report deviations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams such as procurement, R&D;, and finance.
· Equipment Maintenance: Complete routine equipment maintenance and deal with emergency repairs.
· Team Leadership: Mentor junior technicians on assembly and diagnostic procedures, safe work practices, and documentation standards.

Compensation: Annual compensation will range from $60,000 to $70,000 depending on applicant education, experience, credentials and performance. A perks package (including Pooled Insurance benefits, a Health Spending Account, TFSA or RRSP matching, and paid sick leave) will be provided after the probationary period is completed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
· Legally entitled to live and work in Canada
· Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology (or equivalent hands-on experience in lieu of formal education)
· Minimum of three years experience in this field
· Competent in soldering, desoldering, and reworking electrical components
· Knowledgeable in interpreting manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
· Strong computer skills – proficient in PC applications: Microsoft 365, ERP systems, etc.
· Identify potential project risks; implement strategies to control deviations for estimated costs and deadlines, while maintaining a sense of urgency to meet the needs of business changes
· Keen ability to multitask and coordinate with multiple departments to execute your assigned scope
· Takes initiative and supports the team as needed
· Prior informal lead or trainer experience (covering for a supervisor, training apprentices, etc.)
Pay: $30.00-$36.50 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
