Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, blueprint reading, and the safe operation of related equipment. The Welder will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and precision of our products, supporting construction, ductwork, and manufacturing projects across diverse industries.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal materials according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine specifications and welding requirements
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances
- Rigging components for assembly or movement using cranes or forklifts as needed
- Conduct machining tasks such as cutting, shaping, or assembling parts to specifications
- Assist with assembly processes involving ductwork, structural components, or custom fabrications
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues related to welding or mechanical assembly
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding and TIG welding techniques with a solid focus on quality workmanship
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, machinery operation, and assembly techniques
- Experience with plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading
- Ability to interpret blueprints accurately for fabrication and assembly tasks
- Knowledge of rigging procedures involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy components
- Familiarity with machining operations using calipers, basic math skills for measurements, and schematics comprehension
- Understanding of construction standards and ductwork fabrication processes
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements
