Francophone Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Francophone Coordinator to support Learn Through Active Play (LTAP) by engaging with childcare centres and early learning professionals, promoting workshop participation, and coordinating program delivery.
LTAP is a fully funded professional development program designed to empower early childhood educators to integrate active play into daily programming through hands-on training, ongoing mentorship, and access to digital resources. Backed by research, the program equips these educators with practical strategies to create engaging, developmentally responsive active play experiences that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Francophone Outreach & Recruitment
- Identify, contact, and recruit childcare centres, preschools, and early learning facilities for LTAP workshops.
- Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, professional networks, and training institutions.
- Represent LTAP at Francophone events, conferences, and forums.
- Communicate with stakeholders to confirm workshop details, including location, time, and any necessary adjustments.
- Ensure stakeholders are familiar with LTAP’s evaluation process and provide necessary links for baseline and post-workshop evaluations.
- Follow up with stakeholders to confirm receipt of evaluations and ensure participants complete them.
- Attend check-in meetings with the LTAP team.
- Manage the French Learn Through Active Play Gmail account, ensuring timely and professional responses.
- Report to the LTAP Managers.
Workshop and Professional Development Program Administration (French)
- Coordinate workshop logistics, including scheduling, location, participant communication, and resource preparation.
- Coordinate LTAP’s ongoing support options such as mentoring, webinars, and related initiatives.
Language and Cultural Coordination
- Lead the translation, adaptation, and review of LTAP materials to ensure clarity and accessibility in French.
- Serve as a bridge between English and French teams to ensure consistent program quality and messaging.
- Assist with website updates and review content for accuracy and relevance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in recruitment, sales, or client booking.
- Bilingual in French and English.
- Experience working in the childcare sector.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies.
- Creative thinker with a passion for active learning and child development.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Compensation
$30/hour for 20 hours per week
