Construction Foreman – Civil & Structural

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to supervise and direct field labour crews on a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in civil, structural, concrete, and general construction work and be capable of organizing crews, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, supervise, and direct construction labour crews on site.
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Assign tasks and ensure crews understand project requirements and priorities.
- Supervise civil and structural work including concrete, formwork, foundations, grading, excavation, drainage, asphalt, sidewalks, and site repairs.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and site plans.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Monitor workmanship, productivity, schedule, and quality.
- Identify site issues and communicate required changes or additional work.
- Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and company procedures.
- Complete daily site reports, track labour hours, materials, equipment, and work completed.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and productive job site.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of construction experience, preferably in civil, structural,



concrete, or general contracting.
- Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand, Site Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate construction labour crews.
- Strong knowledge of concrete, foundations, excavation, grading, drainage, and structural construction.
- Ability to read construction drawings and understand project specifications.
- Solid problem-solving, organization, and communication skills.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices.
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding construction activities when required.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with concrete repairs, foundations, waterproofing, sidewalks, curbs, asphalt, drainage, landscaping/site restoration, structural repairs, and multi-residential construction would be considered a strong asset.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of a job site. This position is best suited for an experienced foreman who can take direction from the Project Manager, organize a crew, determine the best approach to completing the work, and deliver projects safely and efficiently.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
