RefugeRoot Foundation of Canada was established with a mission to provide care and support to children and communities in need, driven by love, compassion, and a commitment to environmental sustainability. What started as an effort to support people in need has grown into a mission to develop long-lasting and meaningful solutions that protect, feed, and restore dignity.

We are seeking a creative and passionate Volunteer Video Content Creator to help tell our organization's stories through engaging visual content. The successful volunteer will create videos that showcase our projects, activities, community initiatives, and impact while strengthening RefugeRoot's digital presence.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement creative video content strategies for social media, website content, and digital campaigns.
- Plan, film, edit, and organize photos and videos from RefugeRoot's projects and activities.
- Create engaging short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Develop creative concepts, scripts, storyboards, and visual storytelling ideas.
- Collaborate with team members to promote RefugeRoot's activities, campaigns, and community initiatives.
- Help increase the organization's online visibility and engagement through compelling video content.

Qualifications Required

- Experience or strong interest in video content creation, videography, photography, social media, and digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, branding, audience engagement, and current social media trends.




- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of cameras, lighting, sound, and video production workflows.
- Creativity and the ability to develop fresh and engaging content ideas.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a creative team environment.
- Self-motivated, organized, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.
- Experience with drone photography or videography is an asset.
