Overview

We are seeking a energetic and detail-oriented individual who will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of all financial operations. You will oversee the full accounting cycle, manage and oversee day to day functions. With a strong emphasis on internal controls and operational excellence, you'll possess exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

- Monitor financial performance and provide analysis on trends. Oversee all accounting functions for a multi unit business
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Accounts Payable
- CRA, HST & HAPSET reporting
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Maintain organized financial records & corporate records for easy retrieval and reference
- Participate & assist in operational meetings, assist with and identify improvements to monitor performance and financial results.
- Present and communicate financial insights & operational insights to Shareholders.
- Oversee the annual audit process
- Lead the month end and year end processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.




- Taking on additional duties as required to support the finance, accounting & operations of the organization.

Requirements

- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- In depth understanding of SAGE Accounting system.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. The ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Exceptional and keen attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to aid, interpret an d implement company policies and procedures
- Degree or diploma in Finance/Accounting or equivalent in experience with 5+ years in a past similar position.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
