Boss Battle Games is looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Seasonal Part-Time Arcade Associate to join our Ottawa team for the upcoming holiday season.

This position is expected to run approximately November through January, with the possibility of continued employment beyond the seasonal period for the right person. Continued employment and potential wage increases may be considered based on performance, reliability, attendance, and overall contribution to the team.

About Boss Battle Games

Boss Battle Games is a retro arcade and gaming center built by people who genuinely love arcades.

Unlike a traditional arcade, our business is focused entirely on the arcade experience. We don't have a restaurant, bar, or retail department. Our goal is simple: create a fun, welcoming place where people can enjoy arcade games, pinball, and gaming with friends and family.

Because we're a small and growing business, we're looking for people who are willing to learn, take initiative, and grow with us. This isn't a position where we expect you to simply stand behind a counter and wait for customers. Our team members play an important role in creating the experience our guests have.

What You'll Do

As an Arcade Associate, you'll help keep the arcade running smoothly while providing excellent customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Greeting guests and creating a friendly, welcoming first impression
- Explaining our unique admission-based arcade model to new customers
- Operating our POS system and accurately processing admissions
- Handling cash and other customer transactions responsibly
- Issuing guest wristbands and explaining our in/out privileges
- Answering questions about our games, machines, and arcade policies
- Helping guests understand how to start and play games when needed
- Providing friendly and helpful customer service throughout the guest's visit




- Keeping the arcade and guest areas clean, organized, and welcoming
- Performing basic troubleshooting on arcade machines when needed
- Identifying and reporting mechanical or technical problems that cannot be resolved
- Helping maintain a safe, friendly, and enjoyable environment for guests
- Enforcing arcade policies and addressing customer concerns calmly and professionally
- Assisting with charity events, tournaments, and other special events hosted by Boss Battle Games
- Communicating with management and other team members through our team communication app
- Completing other tasks necessary to keep the arcade operating smoothly

- Willing to learn basic arcade machine troubleshooting
- Comfortable using POS systems, handling cash, and processing transactions
- Comfortable communicating with coworkers through a phone-based team communication app
- Willing to learn and grow with a small business

Previous experience in customer service, retail, cash handling, POS systems, entertainment venues, or similar environments is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, and excited to work around arcade games every day.
