Duties

- Assist experienced meat cutters in preparing and cutting various types of meats according to established standards
- Learn proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support the packaging of meat products, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored for freshness
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Help with inventory management by organizing meat supplies and monitoring stock levels




- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with selections when needed
- Follow all safety protocols during food preparation and handling to prevent contamination or accidents

Qualifications

- Prior experience or familiarity with the food industry, food preparation, or kitchen environments is a plus but not required
- Strong interest in butchery, meat cutting, and culinary arts with a willingness to learn new skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks related to meat cutting and packaging
