Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of equipment and disposal bins. Duties

- Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport equipment and supplies, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels
- Load and unload heavy equipment and/or disposal bins ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks or report mechanical issues to ensure optimal vehicle performance
- Support the protected operation of heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and/or forklifts when required for freight handling

Requirements

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL)



with a clean driving record
- Valid Transportation of Dangerous Goods certificate with WHMIS
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy-duty equipment transportation
- Experience in moving heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and forklifts and other machinery loading
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transporting goods
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting minor mechanical issues
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping
- Physical ability to load/unload equipment manually or with machinery as needed

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
