We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our leadership team. This role is responsible for overseeing the financial health, sustainability, and long-term financial strategy of the organization while supporting our mission and organizational goals.

As Director of Finance, you will provide expert financial leadership, guide organizational decision-making, and ensure strong stewardship of funding from grants, government contracts, donors, and other stakeholders. You will work closely with senior leadership and the Board of Directors to support strategic planning, compliance, risk management, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Strategic Financial Leadership

- Lead the organization's financial strategy and long-term planning.
- Provide financial advice and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
- Develop annual budgets, multi-year forecasts, and financial plans.
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Financial Management & Reporting

- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, payroll, and financial controls.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Manage banking relationships, investments, and organizational reserves.

Grants & Funding Administration

- Oversee grant and contribution agreement finances, including reporting and compliance requirements.
- Support funding applications, renewals, and budget development.
- Ensure accountability and stewardship of donor, government,



and grant funding.
- Monitor funding agreements and forecast future funding requirements.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

- Prepare financial reports and presentations for the Board and Finance Committee.
- Lead the annual audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, and reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.
- Oversee organizational insurance programs and business continuity planning.

Leadership & Team Development

- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Support employee performance, growth, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with leaders across the organization to support sound financial decision-making.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA designation.
- 3-5 years of progressive financial management experience.
- At least 2 years experience in a senior finance leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting,



forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience managing audits, grants, and multiple funding sources.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a non-profit, charitable, government-funded, or social services environment.
- Knowledge of fund accounting, grant accounting, and contribution agreement reporting.
- Experience presenting financial information to Boards of Directors and executive leadership.
- Experience with ERP systems, payroll administration, and organizational risk management.

Pay: $130,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
