Drain Pro Plumbing is looking for an experienced Journeyman Plumber / Gas Fitter who is confident in the field, can run service calls independently, and wants steady year-round work with a well-established local company.

The Position:
This is not an entry-level position.

We are looking for an experienced tradesperson who can be trusted to take a service call from dispatch through diagnosis, repair, documentation, and customer communication.

You should be comfortable walking into an unfamiliar plumbing or gas problem, figuring out what is wrong, explaining the issue to the customer, and completing the repair efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities:
-Residential and commercial plumbing service and repair.
-Gas fitting service, installation,



maintenance, and troubleshooting.
-Install and replace hot water tanks, fixtures, piping, valves, and plumbing equipment.
-Service and install gas-fired appliances within your certification and experience.
-Diagnose leaks, pressure issues, drainage problems, heating problems, and plumbing system failures.
-Complete plumbing and gas renovations and replacement projects.
-Read plans, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements.
-Work in accordance with applicable B.C. plumbing, gas, and building codes.
-Provide customers with clear explanations of required repairs and recommended work.
-Complete detailed job notes, photos, material records, and electronic documentation.
-Communicate with dispatch and office staff throughout the workday.
-Maintain an organized and professional service vehicle.
-Assist apprentices and junior technicians where required.
-Participate in overtime or emergency work when required.

Required Qualifications:
-Red Seal Journeyman Plumber certification.
-Valid B.C. Gas Fitter certification.
-Valid B.C. driver's licence.
-Clean and acceptable driving record.
-Strong plumbing service and troubleshooting experience.
-Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
-Strong communication and customer service skills.
-Professional appearance and attitude.
-Reliable, punctual, and organized.
-Comfortable using phones, tablets, photos, and electronic job documentation.

Strong Assets:




-Heating and boiler experience.
-Gas fireplace experience.
-Hot water tank and tankless water heater experience.
-Drainage and sewer experience.
-Commercial plumbing experience.
-Renovation experience.
-Estimating experience.
-ServiceTitan experience.
-Experience supervising apprentices or junior technicians.
