Urban Mechanical Ltd. is hiring an experienced Journeyperson Plumber/Gasfitter or Registered Apprentice Plumber to join our commercial service team.

We provide plumbing, heating, HVAC, and refrigeration services to established commercial customers throughout Calgary. This position offers varied service work, hands-on troubleshooting, and no pressure to sell customers unnecessary repairs or equipment.

What You’ll Do

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing, gas, heating, and related mechanical systems
- Service domestic water and drainage systems, pumps, valves, fixtures, boilers, make-up air units, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and control issues
- Complete service documentation accurately
- Communicate professionally with customers, building operators, and property managers




- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule
- Work independently while having access to technical and office support when needed

What We’re Looking For

- Certified Alberta Journeyperson Plumber/Gasfitter or Registered Apprentice Plumber
- Commercial service and troubleshooting experience preferred
- Experienced residential service plumbers interested in moving into commercial work will also be considered
- Strong workmanship and attention to detail
- Professional customer-service and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
- Availability to participate in rotational on-call duties

Experience with boilers, hydronic systems, HVAC equipment, or controls is an asset but is not required. We will train and support the right person who is willing to learn.
